Tap-Tap the Red Nose is the mid-boss of World 6 in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island. He was originally an ordinary Tap-Tap until Kamek cast a spell on him to make him grow gigantic. He attacks by jumping onto Yellow Yoshi, trying to hit him with his spiky body. In the room where the battle takes place, the floor is made up of rectangular blocks, which can be destroyed by throwing eggs at them. Since Tap-Tap the Red Nose is invincible to all of Yoshi's attacks, Yoshi has to defeat him by creating a gap in the floor and pushing Tap-Tap the Red Nose until he falls into the lava below.

• Tap-Tap the Red Nose may be a pun on Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.
• While the Player's Guide for the GBA version implies that Tap-Tap the Golden is a resurrected Tap-Tap the Red Nose,^[1] the Player's Guide for the SNES version suggests otherwise,^[2] albeit by erroneously stating that Tap-Tap the Golden is located 'beneath Red Nose's Fort.'
• Tap-Tap the Red Nose is the only boss that Yoshi does not meet by entering a boss door.
• Tap-Tap's battle arena is similarly structured to Breakout, seeing as Yoshi has to break certain parts of the floor with eggs to knock him into the lava.
• After finishing being imbued with Kamek's magic and before he starts to enlarge, Tap-Tap the Red Nose is briefly shown as a normal Tap-Tap with a unique blueish palette. Due to the short amount of time between these and how he is constantly moving during it, it can be difficult to see.

A Fuzzy is a floating, furry, spore-like creature found in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island, and Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3, and is the sole member of the Dudim Phreykunoutonthis enemy group. When Yoshi makes contact or eats a Fuzzy, he gets dizzy, and the whole level is affected. While in this state, Yoshi may have a hard time walking and aiming eggs, the music is slowed down and distorted, and it will be especially difficult to understand the map well, as the whole background will flash rainbow colors, move and twist around; this is especially hazardous in areas with pits. Fuzzies always appear in large groups and hover all over the field. Yoshi can avoid the dizzy effects by crouching. If they are eaten by Yoshi, they make him produce a cloud of gas that can defeat enemies behind him instead of laying an egg.

They have their own level named after them, 'Touch Fuzzy, Get Dizzy', which is also the first level to feature them. Fuzzies also appear in 'GO! GO! MARIO!!', 'Beware The Spinning Logs', and 'Fight Toadies w/ Toadies' (the latter being in the remake).

• The effects of touching Fuzzies may parody the stereotypical visual, mental, and physical effects of popular psychedelic drugs such as LSD or psilocybin mushrooms. This is even referenced in the German translation for 'Touch Fuzzy, Get Dizzy', 'Lustiges Sporen Drama' (German for 'Funny Spore Drama').
• Fuzzies were meant to appear in Mario Kart: Super Circuit, as indicated by sprites appearing in the same code as elements from Sky Garden. With GameShark codes, the player can make them appear on the track.
